The North Suburban YMCA Community Gallery will feature the work of the Chicago Photographic Arts Society through September. A reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on September 14 at the Y, 2705 Techny Road, Northbrook. All photographs are for sale and a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Y’s visual arts program.
The Chicago Photographic Arts Society (CPAS) is a group of 30 committed photographers associated with the Chicago Botanic Garden Photography Program whose range of photographic interests include abstract, landscape, still life, portraiture and more. Its members include current photography teachers and people from a variety of professional backgrounds ranging from graphic design to law to education.
The NSYMCA Community Gallery celebrates the diversely talented artists who live and work in Chicago’s northern suburbs with monthly exhibits that are free and open to the public.
