As the world embraces the digital revolution and jumps on every popular trend, the popular arts are unfortunately relegated to the fringes.
After the resounding success of I believe that art matters 2020 and 2021, as part of the broader #ArtMatters initiative, Teamwork Fine Arts Society celebrated its third edition of I believe that art is important: folk publishing, showcasing stellar performances and stories that represented and supported Indian folk artists. This year, the initiative released four remarkable acts, featuring folk artists from across the country.
As the world embraces the digital revolution and jumps on every popular trend, the popular arts are unfortunately relegated to the fringes. The series aimed to bridge this gap by supporting local artists who continue to commemorate our roots and nurture his legacy by raising awareness of these art forms. I Believe Art Matters: Folk Edition reached out to more 3.5 million people, with an audience of over one hundred and fifty miles and still counts.
The series involved multiple stakeholders and thanks to the generous support of the Sheela Kanoria Foundation, the initiative was a huge success.
