LA Arts Society Marina Alta (TASMA) recently held a hotly contested cover competition for its 2023 program.

“We are now very pleased to announce our winner,” said Society President David Glover.

“The winning work entitled Celebrating Life’s Experience is a celebration of flamenco, a surprisingly colored glass mosaic with a feeling of abandoned movement. It is a superb and powerful piece in an unusual format,” he added.

The image by artist Sonja van Belkum, leader of a local mosaic group, has imagination and creativity in a unique medium, David explained.

Sonja, originally from Bussum in North Holland, now resides in the Marina Alta and is a freelance entrepreneur and teacher.

The President and Board of TASMA congratulated Sonja on her latest presentation and expressed their appreciation for being able to use such a wonderful piece for their program coverage throughout 2023.

The TASMA 2023 program is now available and will be distributed during the next presentation at Salones Canor Teulada on October 6th.

This will detail all of the company’s presentations for the 2023 season.
