Emirates news agency – Abu Dhabi Arts Society celebrates World Logic Day



ABU DHABI, January 13, 2021 (WAM) – As part of the annual global celebration marking World Logic Day, the Abu Dhabi Arts Society (ADAS) hosted a virtual session titled “From the Art of think about the freedom of logic and philosophy “.

Dr. Hamed bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, founder and chairman of the board of ADAS, highlighted the importance of this day in the preservation of cultural and intellectual heritage, highlighting the principles of logical science and its impact on innovation, technology, and on the dissemination of a culture of understanding and peace.

Dr Omar Abdulaziz, head of research and studies at the Department of Culture and Information of Sharjah, highlighted the role of language in defining human thought and the role of philosophy in contemporary society given of the current rapid technological development.

Dr Fadwa Al Mughairbi, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of the United Arab Emirates, highlighted how self-talk plays an important role in determining the future of human beings and how the study of logic change the way of thinking.

Participants debated a number of other topics related to the development of criteria-based novels and stories, the relationship between logic and philosophy, and how to improve the abilities of young people to collect and to criticize contemporary knowledge.
