Arts Society North Devon offers financial boost to young creatives

The Burton at Bideford Art Gallery and Museum has received a check for £250 from the Arts Society North Devon.

Presented by President Mary-Lu Hick, the donation will support arts projects at Burton for young people.

The Burton offers children, youth and schools the opportunity to visit and participate in artistic activities that support creative ambition and well-being. The arts society‘s donation will help fund the Burton’s Popular Weekly Arts Club’s Mini Arts Lab and Arts Lab during school holidays.

Weekly sessions are offered free of charge to children under 5 and young people of all ages during school holidays. They provide the opportunity for children to engage in a range of different artistic activities and learn different techniques.

Arts. Each year we have over 100 sessions, reaching 2,500 children, the majority of them free.
