Abu Dhabi: With the participation of 174 students from the United Arab Emirates, the âOur Nation Through Young Eyesâ competition, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arts Society (ADAS), has come to an end.
The students competed to participate in various artistic works which included paintings, photographs and poems. The committee evaluated all entries and then announced the winners.
The first place went to Ayesha Abdullah Mohammed Al Marzooqi from the University of the United Arab Emirates. Ghala Faisal Al Marzooqi of Yas School came second, while Mayar Mohamed Adel of Al Salam Private School came third.
Dr. Hamed Bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, founder and chairman of the board of directors of the Abu Dhabi Arts Society (ADAS), said that the launch of this competition was aimed at enhancing the artistic talents of students and creating a spirit of creativity in addition to our desire to participate in the UAE’s 49th anniversary celebrations, highlighting its accomplishments of which we are all proud.
Dr Hamed Al Suwaidi added that the committee relied in its assessment on innovation and excellence, the students excelled in their participation who expressed their joy on the occasion by applying new ideas which showed their patriotic spirit, their pride in belonging to the UAE, their appreciation for the leadership and the civilized achievements the UAE has achieved so far.
