Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Arts Society (ADAS) has launched the “Art for a Healthy Society” campaign which aims to meet the aspirations of various segments of society, including children with chronic illnesses and disabilities. The campaign aims to raise awareness of contemporary health issues.
As part of the initiative, the Al Suwaidi Foundation and its companies signed a memorandum of understanding with the Salma Children’s Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Hospital and held an art workshop for children on Thursday.
Dr Hamed bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Founder and Chairman of the Al Suwaidi Foundation, said: Hospital. To support the UAE’s efforts in this area, we are about to launch various programs to serve students with disabilities on an annual basis. We believe that art has aesthetic value that contributes to training and skills development.
Samia Badr, strategic partner and media manager, said: “The aim of this workshop is to provide these children with psychological support, to train them and to integrate them into society.
Philipp Mielenz, Managing Director of Salma Rehabilitation Hospital, said: “We are honored to work closely with the Al Suwaidi Foundation and its companies to inspire creativity in our young patients, as our goal is to improve the quality of life of our patients and to develop their potential for learning and creativity.
